Volterra in Tuscany

Tuscany is particularly known and appreciated by tourists from around the world for its small and ancient villages. They're real gems hidden through hills and valleys almost heavenly.

In this large group of preserved historic towns you find certainly the town of Volterra, of Etruscan origin, but rich in the remains and ruins of Roman time and especially of architecture and urban structures typical of the medieval period.

Volterra, in the province of Pisa, is a magical world that seems still to the past. Its historic center, by a singular and characteristic beauty, was chosen as location to shoot a film of the "Twilight" saga. This has contributed to make Volterrra very famous at international level.

The village, built on a hill about 550 meters above sea level, offers to tourists a town almost perfectly preserved in its original structure, overlooking the beautiful view of the Cecina valley below.
Do not miss in Volterra, in addition to the historical center and the narrow streets: the Cathedral, the Palazzo dei Priori, the Etruscan walls with the door of the ark, the Etruscan Museum, the Museum of Sacred Art and the Art Gallery.

Volterra is the ideal place for spending a Tuscany vacation. The region is also appreciated by camper lovers that here can also choose among several Italy RV rentals services!
